How to build a website for free - Part 2July 13th 2019
Continuing where we left off in Part 1 the next step is to update your Nameservers on NameSilo to make that connection between your domain name and hosting.
In your client area on Freehosting.com scroll down and take note of the Nameservers for your hosting account.
Most likely there will be two:
Go back to Namesilo and click Manage My Domains in the top right and click the checkbox next to your domain. This will allow you to pick one of the actions. Click Change Nameservers.
Paste in your two Nameserver addresses and click submit.
Now your done with Namesilo. You'll probably see a message giving you a heads up to expect your Nameservers to fully propagate globally between 24-72 hours however this usually updates within the hour.
Head back on over to your Freehosting account onto your client area and click services. On the left sidebar down below click Cpanel so you can auto install Wordpress.
On your cpanel screen scroll down and click Softaculous Apps Installer.
Under Blogs click Wordpress or search for it in the search bar. Fill in your admin account details and click install. These are the login details you will be using to login to your Wordpress dashboard.
Now if you check out your website you will see your default blog page. The url to login to your dashboard will be mydomain.com/wp-admin
As a bonus in Part 3 I'll show you how to make basic edits to your new Wordpress site to customize it and it give a professional look.
